Donaldson & Rose in front in Abu Dhabi

   

 

 Jamie Donaldson and Justin Rose shared the lead after an opening round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship that saw both Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods struggling.

Tiger had a better day at the office than his friend Rory though his 72 was not error free. The current world number 2 mixed 4 birdies with 4 bogeys, the first at the first hole after a bad drive that didn’t even make the fairway!

A level-par effort from Woods  finds him some way behind Donaldson and Rose, who hold a one-stroke advantage over Dane Thorbjorn Olesen and Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal.
