Inbee Park
The final round of the Mission Hills World Ladies Championship all set for a dramatic conclusion today in tropical Hainan, southern China. South Korea’s World No.4 Inbee Park started with a two shot lead over Norwegian World No.8 Suzann Pettersen.
However, there was a two shot swing on second hole, which Park bogeyed and Pettersen birdied, seeing the pair tied for the lead on 13 under par, four clear of Soo Jin Yang.
Pettersen birdied the third hole to go one shot clear of Park on 14 under par.
She then quickly went two clear of the field on 15 under, with three birdies at holes two, three and four.
Both Pettersen and Park birdied the par-5 eighth hole, seeing Pettersen take a two shot lead into the back nine on 16 under, with an outward total of 32. Park went out in level par 36.
Pettersen and Park both birdied 10th hole, to get to 17 and 15 under respectively.
Park then birdied 11 to get to 16 under, just one behind Pettersen. She joined the Norwegian in the lead on 17 under with her third straight birdie on the 12th hole.
Elsewhere, Soo Jin Yang was in third, followed by fellow Korean Bo Mi Suh.
Spain’s Carlota Ciganda made an opening-hole birdie but double bogeyed the next and was out in one over par to be ten shots off the lead.
