Edoardo Molinari 2nd in Malaysian Open

Edoardo Molinari: Highest European Tour finish since September 2010

A good week in Kuala Lumpur left Edoardo Molinari admitted to 'mixed emotions' after finishing second at the Malaysian Open .
The Italian teed off on Thursday without a top-10 finish in more than 11 months and on the back of six straight missed cuts.
But rounds of 66-71-67 in a rain blighted  tournament meant he enjoyed his best result on the European Tour since September 2010, as he ended the 54-hole event one stroke behind winner Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
Recently he has been struggling with a nagging wrist injury causing him problems with his drive and necessitating a change to his technique.
On Sunday in Malaysia he kept a bogey off his card but was unable to catch the champion from Thailand who could even afford a double-bogey six on the final hole in his 70.
And the 32-year-old from Turin admitted: "It's mixed emotions because I'm very happy to have a good week for the first time in a long time.
"The swing changes are starting to pay off which is surprising because I thought it would take a lot longer.
"I'm disappointed because I had a lot of chances on the back nine. The 18th is only the second fairway I missed all day which is very disappointing.
"I felt if I could birdie the last I might have won outright because it puts a lot of pressure on the guy coming up behind."
