When it was all over we retired
to the locker room and the team presented me with the flag from the 18th green.
That was very special and will have pride of place at home. The other thing was
the emotion on the faces of the players after what we achieved had sunk in, and
the embraces I shared with Poults, G-Mac, Justin Rose and all the boys.

My lasting memory would have to
be the team meeting on the Saturday night after we had given ourselves a
glimmer of hope. I’d heard people talk about what an inspiring speaker Jose
Maria Olazabal was and he proved it. To be honest, I can’t remember what he
said but I looked around the room and there were people who had tears in their
eyes. We all left that night
believing the miracle was most definitely one we
could make happen.

the last few holes with Tiger in the final singles match at the Ryder Cup. We become

in that position is something that not many players get the chance to
experience, and I feel very blessed to have been among the privileged
few.
